i leave tomorrow morning and will be gone for over a week. i somehow landed the amazing opportunity to be the photographer for the Children’s Miracle Network. every year they take one child from each state and their families to washington d.c. and then to florida and this year i get to be the photographer. i am so excited! ive been studying the bios of each of the children so i can know their names and what incredible circumstances they are overcoming. i think this will not only be an exciting, but also a hard job for me. i cant wait to get back and post all about it. im not sure how much email access i will get so if you need to get ahold of me please call me at 256-417-7752.
do you remember jess and dannii’s wonderful florida wedding in february? i got to shoot their second reception here in utah last night. it was great to see them again. the reception was wonderful. my favorite was that they served sushi. im excited because i am flying to washington dc next week and will get to see them again there where they now are living.

every once in a while i get together with two of my old roomates, laura and sarah, and teach them a little about photography to help them take better photographs of their kids. mostly it’s just a good excuse to spend time together and catch up. we pretty much went to the park and talked while the kids played. this was my favorite from the get together of little miss katie coming down the slide.
last saturday i shot katie and rhodes wedding in new hampshire. i fell in love with all of the beautiful old houses. they were married in the boston temple and then had their reception in a gorgeous old victorian style home. i loved photographing these two and their families because they are full of excitement and facial expressions.
it all went great despite the rainy weather. look for more photographs of them this weekend at their second reception here in utah.

i advertise online through utah bride and groom. i like them a lot and have found them to be much classier than their competetors. this week i was happy to find out that they quoted me in their newsletter on tips for engagement photography. check out the article here.
while shooting a wedding in new hampshire last week i was able to photograph bonnnie and ben’s engagements. i first met bonnie on my mission in las vegas and we have since been roomates and traveled together in africa. it was so great to see her. we stayed up way too late at night chatting and reminiscing. i think ben is perfect for her and i can’t wait to see them both again at their wedding!

i shot heather and denver’s engagements today. heather is katie’s (see previous engagement post) little sister. poor heather was not only sick, but freezing. her teeth kept on chattering during the whole shoot. i felt really bad for her, but she did great anyways. they are a beautiful couple and i’m excited to shoot their wedding in may.
i hope you feel better heather.
on saturday i shot elissa’s bridals. ive known elissa for about 7 years – she was one of my freshman roomates. she’s a twin and always stood out because of her beautiful long blond hair. i will always remember when she and her twin dressed up as mermaids for the byu homecoming parade.
elissa was a real trooper because it was freezing and we had to change plans of where we were going to shoot at the last minute – our first place was under construction. here are a few of my favorites.
