i havn’t had any photoshoots this week which has been a nice break from the chaos of the last two. so ive had time to work on my new website. although my last one was nice, i had made it myself and i just dont think it was quite professional enough. so im excited about this new flash site which is so fun. plus it includes new features, like connecting to proofing and my blog. ive included a few screenshots so you can get an idea of what the new one is going to look like.
along with my new site (which should launch in about a week) i will be increasing my prices, so if you or anyone you know is thinking about booking me, please have them do so in the next week, or else they will use the new prices.
bonnie is very special to me. first of all we served an lds mission together a few years back. after that we were roomates and then backpacked through africa for 3 months together. it was wonderful to see her so happy. ben is also great and i think they are wonderful together. they had a beautiful wedding at the slc temple and then a reception at soldier hollow. i felt honored to be a part of it all. here a just a few of my favorites. there were so many it was hard to choose.

i got an email yesterday informing me that some of my photographs from the children’s miracle network were published in the US News and World Report magazine. there is a 7 page article talking about the network, its purpose, and this years week event to washington dc and flordia where i was the photographer. most of my photographs are on page 58 and you can even see my name inbetween some of the photos if you look really really close. you may recognize some of the photos from an earlier blog (click here to see them). so if you are going by barnes & noble anytime soon take a look. its the magazine with this cover.

lisa is my husbands cousin so it was fun to not only attend, but also to photograph her reception on saturday night. i loved that there was a lot of their personality in the reception. first of all ryan forgot his tux pants so he wore cargo shorts the whole time. it was a nice accent to her amazing wedding dress. also they served gormet cupcakes, candy, and rootbeer floats with a soft serve machine. i love outdoor receptions. it makes for beautiful light. here are a few favorites.

on saturday morning i photographed the dahl family. laura, the mom, was my roommate while i was in college and so its been fun to see her grown up with such a cute family. we sometimes get together with them and play cards or last weekend we made funnel cakes together. they are a great couple and we really appreciate their friendship. my favorite is the last one of alex being thrown in the air.

although i have technically been offering canvas prints for awhile, i am giving it a new debute with a new twist. i am now offering canvas prints that are hand stretched over a 1 1/2 inch pine stretcher frame. i love how the thicker frame adds a modern feel as it allows you to hang the canvas on the wall without a frame for a clean look. with a smaller 8×10 inch canvas you can even sit it on a bookshelf. here are a couple of examples.
these new canvas wrapped prints are usually priced as follows:
8×10- $100
11×14- $150
16×20- $200
20×24- $250
24×30- $300
but from now until saturday night they will be marked at 20% off. the sale ends saturday may 19th at midnight so order soon. just go to your event and look for canvas wrapped prints under products at the bottom of the page. after clicking on it you can choose your size and the price will already be marked down. make sure you enter the photograph # and whether you want it color, black & white or sepia toned under special instructions upon checkout.
what a gorgeous wedding saturday night! it was so fun to be a part of heather and denver’s wedding. they are beautiful and happy. they got married at the manti temple and then had their reception at a ranch in wallsburg, ut. the decorations were wonderful and the food was scrumptuous. thankyou heather and denver for letting me be there. im posting a ton of pictures this time because i had such a hard time choosing. so keep scrolling. have fun in mexico!
so i am trying to get my new flashy website up and with it i need pics of me for my “about me” page. i havnt had pics taken of me besides my wedding since high school so i had my awesome husband, tyson, give it a try. we had a short photo lesson and went into the alleyway behind our house to see what we could come up with. i am so impressed with how well he did. here are my 5 favorites. let me know what ones you like the best.
